Home Remedies for Prostate Disorders

vbcA man will generally begin to have tests for the prostate by the age of 50.  This is the age when men will start to have problems with their prostate.  There are three common categories of prostate problems that men can experience.  These are:  prostatitis (an inflammation of the gland), benign prostatic hyperplasia ((BPH) (enlarged prostate that can narrow the urethra) or cancer. 

 

Symptoms of Prostate Problems

 

• Pain or difficulty urinating

• Pelvic pain

• Abdominal pain

• Urinary tract infection

• Anemia

• Incontinence

Home Remedies for Prostate Disorders

• Pumpkin seeds:  Take 60 to 90 grams of pumpkin seeds per day in the form of powder sprinkled over cooked vegetables or make a paste with honey, pumpkin seed powder or drink that is diluted with milk.  Add sugar.

• Vegetable juices:  Take 500 ml of carrot juice or mix 200 ml of spinach juice and 300 ml of carrot juice.

• Zinc:  Take 30 milligrams.

• Vitamin E:  Eat foods rich in Vitamin E, such as wholegrain products, green leafy vegetables, eggs, milk and raw or sprouted seeds.

Try this diet for prostate problems:

• Stop eating solids for two to three days.  Drink water mixed with lemon juice for two to three days every hour you are awake to help the flow of urine.

• On the third day, start eating fruit only for three more days.  After the third day, eat two meals of fruit a day with one cooked vegetable meal for seven days.

• After this time, start to eat a well balanced diet that includes seeds, nuts, grains, vegetables and fruits.
