Natural Remedies for Diabetes

diabetesDiabetes is a condition where there is an unusual rise in glucose levels in your blood stream.  This generally happens because there is a disturbance in the glucose metabolism process in the body.  The normal level of glucose is 80 to 140ml in a fasting state.  When there is a rise in the sugar level beyond this during a fasting state, the body is in danger of the initiation of mellitus diabetes.  There are many causes of diabetes:


• Nutritional deficiency
• A diet rich in carbohydrates
• Stress and mental trauma
• Decreased physical activities and lack of physical exercise
• Hereditary
• Disease of the pancreas
• Increased weight, especially obesity

Natural Home Remedies for Diabetes:

• Fenugreek seeds:  Soak in a glass of water and leave in over night.  Crush and sieve the seeds from a fine cloth.  Drink for about 2 months.

• Bitter gourd:  Drink a half cup of bitter gourd juice.

• Grape juice:  Drink a cup every day.

• Mango tree leaves:  Boil in water and drink the juice.

• Almonds:  Soak overnight in water.  Consume early in the morning on an empty stomach.

• Indian goose berry:  Helpful in treating diabetes.

• Soya bean:  They are rich in proteins and minerals.

• Take a walk every morning and evening.

• Eat a low calorie, low fat diet and be sure to include a lot of fiber.

• Garlic, ginger and onions are also great for curing diabetes.

Adding supplementing with 1,000 mcg a day of GTF (glucose tolerance factor) chromium is helpful in treating diabetes.  Chromium stabilizes blood sugar levels.  Also, consider taking 400 mg a day of magnesium.
