Say Goodbye to Cold Sores
Cold sores can be very painful and embarrassing. Imagine getting a big cold sore on your lip right before a family event like a wedding or reunion. The pictures would be cherished for years with your big cold sore front and center.
What if you had a job interview? I’m sure the boss wouldn’t use that against you in the hiring process, but it would make you self conscious during the entire interview.
What you want to do is get rid of that pesky cold sore as soon as possible.
Cold Sore Remedies
Here are a few home remedies for cold sores that have worked wonders. Try them for yourself and see how well they work for you.
Use lemon balm on your cold sore. Typically cold sores hurt the most during the second day, so applying this balm as soon as the cold sore develops will help get rid of it and help with the pain.
Healing time will be shorter as well if you use the balm several times each day.
Aloe Vera works wonders for a lot of things. The best kind of Aloe Vera is a plant (if you have one). You would simply break off a tip of the leaf and squeeze it on the cold sore. It will begin to heal right away. If you don’t have a plant you can buy Aloe Vera lip balm. Use either one several times per day for fast relief.
Applying ice as soon as you notice a cold sore developing can ease the pain. It will not help heal the cold sore, but it will help in the event that you don’t have access to any lip balm or Aloe plant.
