A Sure Cure for a Fever
If you have children you know how common a fever can be. You can feel some fevers in a child’s forehead and in other children you can feel it in their back. It’s hard to bring the fever down, as children tend to run higher than normal temperatures than adults. It can be a pretty scary thing. When this happens try to be as calm as possible and try the following home remedies for fevers. They have worked for centuries on children and adults who have fevers.
Reduce Fever
• Take a cool bath. Make the temperature of the water tepid. Fill the tub and lay in the tub. Repeat as needed until the fever is down.
• Drink as much water as you can in order to replace fluid loss. It will also help to bring down body temperature.
• If the fever does not exceed 102 degrees let it run its course. It helps the body to fight infection and eliminate toxins.
• When a child has fever do not give them aspirin, instead try to reduce the fever with cold baths.
• Avoid suddenly changes in atmospheric temperatures.
• Avoid eating solid foods until the fever is gone. You can replace the foods by drinking plenty of distilled water and/or juices.
• This is a very old home remedy, but it works. Crush two garlic cloves and add two tablespoons of olive oil. Place the mixture on gauze and place it under the sole of each foot. Wrap the foot with plastic wrap. Leave it on overnight. The garlic penetrates the skin and destroys the bacteria or viral infection the body was trying to fight.
