From Tired to Energized Naturally

get energyGaining energy is important for you to get through the struggles and fast pace of each day.  While there are many “pills” available for you to gain instant energy, these medications come along with some serious side effects.  You do not have to subject your body to the harmful effects just to increase your energy level.  Here are some tips to increase energy levels naturally.

Gain Energy Naturally

• Limit sugar and caffeine.  While many people think caffeine and sugar give you energy, after a few hours, you will feel more tired.  This is because sugar, fructose corn syrup and caffeine weaken your adrenal glands, which are responsible for your energy levels.  Therefore, you are weakening your body’s natural energy system.

• Take vitamins.  Your diet may not be sufficient to give you the key nutrients you need, such as Carnitine, CoQ10, magnesium, B-complex and Omega 3.  Vitamins will supplement your body with these key nutrients you do not get with your diet.

• Eat protein with each meal.  This will keep your blood sugar balanced and energy levels high.  The best choices for protein are fish, organic meat, and chicken, eggs, yogurt and whey protein powder.  Make a smoothie with healthy organic whey protein, frozen fruit and some almond milk.

• Get to sleep.  While we are told to sleep a specific amount of hours, each one of us has different needs for sleep.  Figure out how much your body needs by experimenting.  You should be able to wake up on time without an alarm clock!

• Drink at least eight glasses of water a day.  This is essential to increasing your energy.

Stay away from the energy drinks and pills available these days.  You can increase energy naturally with these tips.
