Tired of inflamed, itchy skin? Learn Some Natural Remedies for Eczema
As described in the dictionary, the diagnosis for Eczema is generally based on the appearance of inflamed, itchy skin in eczema sensitive areas such as face, chest and other skin crease areas. For evaluation of the eczema, a scoring system can be used (for example, SCORAD, a scoring system for atopic dermatitis). Given the many possible reasons for eczema flare-ups, a doctor is likely to ascertain a number of other things before making a judgment:
• An insight to family history
• Dietary habits
• Lifestyle habits
• Allergic tendencies
• Any prescribed drug intake
• Any chemical or material exposure at home or workplace
Eczema can be very irritating, as your skin itches and gets very red. Sometimes the skin peels on the fingers and toes and causes a lot of discomfort to those affected.
Natural Remedies For Eczema
Cures for Eczema can be of a natural kind. For example, vitamin E cream is a wonderful natural cure for eczema. Vitamin E is a powerful anti oxidant, and when applied to Eczema it will reduce any irritation or itching by neutralizing it.
Also, blueberry extracts works well. The blueberry leaf is said to contain the perfect ingredients for instant itching relief.
From personal experience, cold compresses seem to work temporarily. By soaking a wash cloth in cold water, squeezing the excess water out and placing the cloth in the freezer for about 15 minutes. Once it is somewhat frozen, it can be placed on the affected area and the itching will subside. This is, of course a temporary cure, but try the other above mentioned methods and see how well they work for your Eczema.
