We Love Our Kids, But Not Our Stretch Marks

stretch marksStretch marks can be very embarrassing.  No one wants them, but let’s face it…..if you have had children you more than likely have a few stretch marks that you wish would go away.  There are, of course, other causes of stretch marks like fluctuation in weight (gaining and losing weigh causes stretch marks too).

Stretch Mark Remedies

Here are some home remedies for stretch marks.  Vitamin E can work wonders for stretch marks.  You can find vitamin E in Aloe.  There are many different ways in which to get Aloe.  The best method would be to take it directly from an Aloe plant.  If you have one, simply break a leaf off and apply the Aloe directly to your stretch marks.  If you don’t have an Aloe plant, you can purchase Aloe Vera at the local drug store and it will work too.

Cocoa butter is another form of stretch mark relief.  This is sold at the drug store and can be applied as often as necessary.  The type that has worked most often can be found in a tube that you rub onto stretch marks.  If you cannot find the tube, you can purchase a cream that works too.

Vaseline has also been known to work well.  It is used less often due to the greasiness.  If you are not planning to go out you can rub Vaseline on your stretch marks (liberally) then put on some baggy clothing (or a bath robe) and relax for a few hours.  Watch television, play some computer games or take a nap.  You can shower afterwards, but the Vaseline needs to soak into the stretch marks for a few hours for the maximum effect.

There are, of course, other home remedies that you can find.  These are among the top cures that are natural and free of any harmful chemicals.  Give them a try and see how well they work for you too.
